I have problems with topomatic t2

Good day, I’m having this topomatic t2 machine for a little more than a month now but I have some problems making 100s cigarettes. I have tried to change some things but it doesn’t work. The problem is that it doesn’t fill the cigarettes all the way to the end, or it can leave some gaps even right at the filter. It worked fine but I don’t know why the problem started and it doesn’t fill them properly. Obviously, I fill everything carefully, I put there enough to know for sure that it’s not this problem. I really want to know how to feel these gaps but nothing seems to work, I even tried different types of tobacco and tubes but it didn’t helped much. Please, anything that can possibly help will be very and very appreciated. I also would like to ask if there is someone who has this machine and can share with me some tips and tricks. That’s going to be great!

Hello Clark, I once had this

Hello Clark, I once had this problem and I guess I can help you. The problem can be in if your tobacco is too moist. When it is moist it sticks at the end of the injector spoon so you should be careful about it. You need to run it out to the end and see if there is any buildup, I'm almost sure that there is something so you need to take something to clean it up, I used 2-point toothpick. You can try using the same thing. I'm also almost sure that if you're going to clean it up and then you're going to fill both ends properly with a checked drier tobacco then the problem should disappear right after. I recommend you to clean the injector spoon at least once after every 5 sticks or maybe even often if you see that it should be cleaned. I hope this is going to help you, in my case this was the problem when I had troubles with 100s. After that I am cleaning the injector spoon regularly and I use only dry tobacco, lest it is going to stick. Good luck with that.

Well, I'm not 100% sure but I

Well, I'm not 100% sure but I think this should help you:

You should used a pointed object, something like a ear stick and clean the packed tobacco from the end of the gadget that fills the tobacco in the tube. To find it you should turn the machine over and throw the handle. This should help you but I'm not really sure because I have never used topomatic t2 but a friend of mine did and he also had this problem, he said he have done something like this. Good luck, hope I helped you.

Yes yes yes! Cayer is right!

Yes yes yes! Cayer is right! Try to do what he has written up there and it definitely should fix your problem. I also have Topomatic T2 Machine and in my opinion is a great job, but we need to keep it clean. I often do 100's and I don't have that problem anymore once I realized that my tobaco was too moist so it was sticking there. For 100's setting and king sized tubes we need to take extra care. Good luck with that, hope it'll work.

I’m having this topomatic t2

I’m having this topomatic t2 and I was wondering what problems do you have with it because I don’t have any. I really like this machine! I love it especially when I’m tired or I don’t have time to roll my cigarettes myself. I don’t know but it is much easier and better with this topomatic. I got it not so long ago and I’m very pleased. By the way thank you for your tips and tricks because if I would ever have this problem I know what to do now. If there are some other tips about it, I would be very glad to see them! Thank you for your advices and enjoy your cigarettes ;)

Hi everybody, I’m new here

Hi everybody, I’m new here and I would like to say that I’m glad being here! Well, maybe I’m new on the forum but definitely I’m not a newbie to roll your own since I’m rolling my cigarette for not less than 5 years now but as I can see I’m still not fully mastered the true art of rolling your own. Well, once upon a time I was using the Excel when I first decided to buy and to start rolling with the top o matic and now I’m using top o matic t2. I had two top o matic and the first one was working wonderful for a limited time until it broke so I went and bought the second one. Since the very beginning the second tom didn’t worked as good as the first one so I decided that it would be better if I would try tom t2. I thought that since it is a next generation of top o matics machines, it should be much better and should work much greater but, unfortunately, I was disappointed. Honestly, there’s nothing good to say about the tom t2. I’m sorry about that, I don’t want to offend anyone but this is my opinion. What I really love in the tom t2 is the shiny chrome exterior, it looks pretty good but nothing more. I had the same problem as I had with my second tom and the same problem as everyone has with the tom’s machines. The tubes are not fully filled and this is quite annoying. It is leaving a big empty gap in the end of the filter and I can’t stand it! I’m very frustrated because I paid money for a “good” machine that it the end doesn’t work. Obviously I’ve tried to do my fillings with different tubes and different tobaccos, moreover, I have followed your advice CayerHolbrook by making sure the machine is perfectly clean. I knew that when the tobacco is moist there can remain a little bit and so it can block the machine. Nothing worked. I cleaned it until it looked like a new one. Trust me guys, I’ve searched the whole internet trying to find at least one HELPFUL solution to my problem but everything I found is a lot of other complaints that the tom t2 machine isn’t working properly. Now, here I am on another forum hoping that here I can find someone that can help me and can tell me any adjustments I should me inside of this machine that would do the trick. I’m very disappointed and lately I’m finding myself buying more prepackaged cigarettes with each day that is passing by. Lately I found out that my financial status is also breaking apart since I bought 2 machines in a short period of time, I bought many different tubes and many different tobaccos and besides that I’m buying prepackaged cigarettes. I would appreciate any kind of help! CayerHolbrook I’m really counting on your help, maybe you know what’s the point. Thank you all in advance!

I really doubt that larger

I really doubt that larger stem pieces are responsible for your problem. Unfortunately, I never had a t2 machine and I don’t really know how it works so that’s why I simply can’t tell you more than you already know but I’ve seen many topics about this machine here and on other forums so let me suggest you a couple of possibilities that might help you. So well, the “too large” stem pieces should be pretty easy to notice and get them out before you inject them so there’s probably other things that will help you:

It may really be your t2 machine, maybe it is broke or something, try asking for help those people who can repair them, or just try another machine.

There’s one thing that I’ve noticed about many complaints about this machine that makes me think that t2 machine can be “temperamental” with some certain brands of tubes, so obviously, you might want to change the combination of your tubes and the machine and maybe it will start working. I’ve noticed that you said that you’ve tried it with different tubes but I need to ask you one more time, did you noticed this problem especially with some tubes or not? Think about this theory.

As I know and as I read on other sites, the most common solution for this problem is not overstuffing. You should try within the limit it can carry on. You should try using less tobacco because even though I never had this machine I’m pretty sure that any other machine, as well as this one, has a certain learning curve.

if nothing above works I suggest you to think about getting a different machine. These were my best suggestions…. Sorry if none of them works.

Hey guys, I am very glad that

Hey guys, I am very glad that I accidentally your thread. Don’t know why but I never thought about searching for an answer online when my t2 started to have this issue about not filling at the filter exactly as yours. It started not so long ago and it seemed that it was getting worse and worse. Well, I have just cleaned everything up, from the top all way to the bottom with a denatured alcohol. In case you haven’t tried yet with the denatured alcohol I would really recommend you to do it because it really helps. I would say that it is a terrific cleaner. It is so bad that you should wear gloves when using it because it is very bad for your hands, it is drying your skin extremely bad. I have tried with simple alcohol and they are not having the same effects. Now I have to wait and see how it would work after it would dry out a little bit. I have a simple question just to be sure: it is ok the sewing machine oil? As I know it should be but I think that you guys know a little bit more than me in these things. I would also appreciate any hints or suggestions you will give me. Maybe they turn out to be extremely helpful for me. Thank you for all.
